DRILLS BY GRADE/TRAINING!

2023 Training Opportunities

Join Coach Max and Coach Brice as well as other coaches in training this summer. We've attached some information in regards to coach Max and Coach Brice. We also have access to Coach Ethan Coleman, as well as face off and goalie coaches. Please reach out if you would like help in these areas!!

THE FUNDEMENTALS

Wall ball 4-5 times per week - 15-20 minutes each time - 1000 reps at least - count your reps and the speed of your reps to measure how you're getting better. WALL BALL SHOULDN'T FEEL GOOD!

75-100 Ground balls - proper fundamentals - 4-5 times per week - drop it, put it down, pick it up again, rinse and repeat.


OFFENSE - Defense you can shoot too

Shooting - 200 shots - 3-4 times per week - time and room, hitch, face dodge to inside finish, shooting on the run.

DEFENSE -  Again, do some shooting, work on your stick!

Footwork drills - 3-4 times per week - ladder work - 40-50 reps 

You can put down tape in a driveway if you have to.  Click To Watch Video

Jump rope - 3-4 times per day - work on different technique


FACE OFF - 100 reps - 3-4 times per week

GOALIE  - Drills and 200 shots 3-4 times per week - can use tennis balls!

Wall Ball 3-4 times per week - 15-20 minutes each time - 800 reps at least.

50 ground balls - 3/4 times per week proper form.

Shooting - 100 shots - 2-3 times per week - time and room, hitch, face dodge, shot on the run.

Goalie - 2-3 times per week - drills above.

Face-off - 2-3 times per week - drills above.


Wall ball - 1-2 times per week 100-200 reps - pick and choose from video above!

Shooting - 1-2 times per week - 50 shots - time and room & shot on the run.

Cradling with the ball - 2-3 times per week.

Prefer for players to start cradling a little more vertically - head to the sky, but of the stick to the ground, if they stop cradling it doesn't come out!  CLICK TO WATCH VIDEO 


OVERCOME EXCUSES

Problem - I don't have a wall to throw against

Solution - tennis ball against sheetrock in basement or inside your garage works great.

Problem - no one to throw with

Solution Sibling or parent - parent can wear a baseball glove if you're not well versed in lacrosse! Use a wall! 

Problem - I don't have a goal

Solution - tennis ball against a shed, some cardboard over your garage door.

Problem - I don't have time

Solution - Every kid can spare 15-20 minutes or more a few days a week to get better!
